toi iho™ is a registered trade mark used to promote and sell authentic, quality Maori arts and crafts
toi iho™ has also been designed to authenticate exhibitions and performances of Maori arts by Maori artists.
The creation of the mark was facilitated by Te Waka Toi, the Maori arts board of Creative New Zealand, in consultation with Maori artists.
The trademark was designed and created by Maori artists.
The toi iho™ maori made mark is accompanied by two companion marks known as the mainly maori mark and the maori co-production mark.
toi iho™ maori made mark

The toi iho™ maori made mark is for individuals and groups of artists who are of Maori descent. When people purchase a Maori artwork labelled with toi iho™, they are guaranteed the product was made by a person of Maori descent and is of quality.

toi Iho™ mainly maori mark
The toi iho™ mainly maori mark is for groups of artists, most of whom are of Maori descent, who work together to produce, present or perform works across artforms.

toi iho™ maori co-production mark
The toi iho™ maori co-production mark acknowledges the growth of innovative, collaborative ventures between Maori and non-Maori.
This companion mark is for Maori artists who create works with persons of non-Maori descent to produce, present or perform works across artforms.
